disclaimer: products received in exchange for honest & unbiased review.  blog contains chapter/referral links

I am a Memebox Ambassador and I will received products from time to time to test and review for my readers.  I was asked if I would be interested in reviewing the Holika Holika Gudetama line that was recently released and of course, I said yeah!! I have already reviewed some of their Gud line already but I was interested in the skincare products ~ I am not that much into BB cushions that much so I passed on those.

Holika Holika Lazy & Piece of cake All Kill Cleanser Oil to Foam What a cute bottle!  This cleansing production is housed in a clear bottle with lazy Gudetama floating on the front of information technology.  Information technology has a yellow pump applicator and I dear how much thought was put into the design of this cleanser ~ Gud floating in a bounding main of gel, that looks like raw egg white to the bright yolk yellow pump.  The pump dispenses the oil in a squeamish easy period ~ no squirting out here.

There are no eggy ingredients in this cleanser,  but three dissimilar types of seaweed, including kelp. This likewise contains olive oil and soap wort botanical plant extracts.  I guess the "oil" in the "oil to cream" cleanser is the olive oil, but honestly, this doesn't feel similar an oil cleanser, but more of a runny gel.

Ingredients: Water, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Decyl Glucoside, Cocamide DEA, Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate, Portulaca Oleracea Extract,  Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil, Saponaria Officinalis (soapwort) Foliage Extract, Laminaria Japonica (kelp) Extract, Undaria Pinnatifida (wakame/brownish kelp) Extract, Enteromorpha Compressa (light-green seaweed) Extract, Butylene Glycol, Citric Acid, Allantoin, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance cosDNA assay

Welp, the photo does non show much ~ it looks like water below, but it is thicker than water and very runny.  The aroma is very light and I cannot place it, but information technology isn't unpleasant either.   I wasn't going to exist impressed by this cleanser, I know it.  Or did I actually know?

I used some of my heavy duty stubborn makeup to exam the cleansing abilities of the Gud ~ Tonymoly Please Tint, Innisfree Glow Liquid Middle Shadow, mascara, brow tint, theBalm Come across the Matt(eastward) Hughes, Misshia Painting Rouge lippie.    It doesn't foam upward that much ~ it has a light bubble foam and I did apply my dual brush from Memebox to foam up the production, which is my normal routine when I use cleansers on my face.  However, foam or not foam, wow ~ Does it make clean up or what?  No residue was left behind and when I utilize this product on my face, information technology doesn't dry my pare or make it feel tight.

There HAS to exist something wrong with this product, right?  A novelty particular has to have a high pH level ~ it has to… Nope, I did a pH test and it came out to what I think is a 5, making this slightly acidic.

So, quite bluntly, whatever Holika Holika did with this novelty particular, they created what I think is a pretty skillful cleanser ~ not that many ingredients, little odor, most excellent cleansing power and a low pH factor.  The pattern is outstanding ~ a cute bottle, great pump applicator and the gel looks similar Gud's raw runny egg  whites!   Full Size 150 mL RV $20.00  @ Memebox The states

Description: Holika Holika merely unproblematic the skincare game with its Lazy & Piece of cake line, a cute collabo with Gudetama. This killer ii-in-1 cleanser makes it manner besides easy to wash up. Information technology first dissolves makeup as a cleansing oil and then magically transforms into a foam cleanser to remove deep-seated dirt. Plus, its Olive Oil base and veggie extracts attend as you massage, leaving your skin clean, healthy, and prepare to soak in the next goodies of your skincare routine.

Holika Holika Lazy & Easy Shine Egg Peeling Gel What is a peeling gel? Peeling gels are non peels ~ they are really non-concrete exfoliators that employ fruit enzymes to dissolve dead skin cells and unclog pores, which y'all tin can meet as yous massage information technology onto your pare. They revitalize and refresh the pare and only remove a minor amount of superficial skin.  Peeling gels must exist applied to clean, DRY skin, otherwise, they do not piece of work too.  Peeling gels should too have an alpha hydroxy acrid (glycolic, citric, lactic) equally this acid helps in removing dead skin cells ~ lemons and papayas naturally contain alpha hydroxy acids.   Another common ingredient is hyaluronic acid or glycerin, as that will increase moisture and hydration and ameliorate your peel'due south texture and tone.   They should likewise have fibers in the product to help bind the clay and dead skin cells and clump them into balls, away from your peel.  Those clumps are office production (listed equally acrylates/C10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer or carbomer or cellulose), role your peel cells, held together with the oils from your peel.  If the clumps are greyish-white in color as well, don't worry ~ that just means that your skin was muddy

This production does comprise two different types of AHA's ~ glycolic and citric acids ~ plus glycerin for moisturizing and the clumping fibers: carbomer and cellulose.  I did practise a "plate" examination to see if the clumps would announced and they did not.  Some peeling gels are artificial because they will "clump" on surfaces that aren't human skin.  This production also has eggs, from the Jiri Mount region, and they are supposed to exist more pristine and "natural" than other eggs.

Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Quaternium-60, Carbomer, Glyceryl Polyacrylate, Vaccinium Myrtillus Fruit Extract, Saccharum Officinarum (Sugar Pikestaff) Extract, Acer Saccharum (Sugar Maple) Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orangish) Fruit Extract, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Dipropylene Glycol, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Egg Yolk Extract, Hydrolyzed Egg Shell Membrane, Cellulose, 1,two-Hexanediol, Egg Beat Pulverisation, Vinegar, Disodium EDTA,Caprylyl Glycol, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance cosDNA analysis

This is the cutest packaging EVAH.  To become to the product, just flip up the yolk cap and squeeze the rubber base of operations to get to the gel.  Once you get the gel, just flip the yolk cap back downward and so place the "egg beat out" top dorsum on the container.

This gel has a medium weight texture and has a light floral scent, which is a a bit disappointing as I was hoping for fruit with all of the fruity extracts.  But apply to dry skin, gently massage in a circular motion, concentrating on and around your T-zone.  As you tin can see in the photo below, information technology did clump upwardly on my hand, collecting dead pare cells, clay and oil.

Rinse off the product with warm/absurd water and you lot should follow upward with a soothing moisturizer.  My skin felt really smooth and soft after using this gel ~ I should employ peeling gels more frequently, simply you have to employ to clean and dry skin. Commonly when I wash my confront, it is still moist so to expect for it to dry and then apply the product is a fleck time consuming for daily use. Size 140 mL RV $12.00 @ Memebox USA

Description: Holika Holika just uncomplicated the skincare game with its Lazy & Piece of cake line, a beautiful collabo with Gudetama. This peeling gel is packed with natural eggs from Jiri Mount, which tighten and pamper pores with much needed moisture while also removing sebum, blackheads, and whiteheads. As the gel rolls away, it quickly and gently sweeps away dead skin and clay, leaving pare smooth and fresh, only similar that.

Holika Holika Lazy & Piece of cake All-In-I Primary Essence ahaha ~ it looks like Gud is picking his/her/its olfactory organ here (or flipping me off!)  This is an essence that is supposed to accept the place of a toner, essence and pare gel.  This essence comes in a very sturdy plastic bottle with a pump applicator ~ I thought it was made of metal at beginning ~ that is how weighty this production is.

Some of its important ingredients are ceramide iii, Japanese elm root and cork tree bawl extracts.

It also contains a slew of botanical ingredients: centella, fig, portulaca oleracea, licorice, peony, parsley, arugula, aloe (should I make a salad?)  Along with some oils ~ bergamot, lavender, lemongrass, orange, chamomile, geranium~ whose properties can include severe, brightening, soothing, calming and anti-bacteria, anti-septic and anti-crumbling benefits.

Ingredients: H2o, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Booze, PEG-32, Cyclomethicone, Dimethicone, Dimethicone/PEG-10/xv Crosspolymer, Methyl Gluceth-20, Bis-PEG-18 Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane, Pentylene Glycol, PEG/PPG-17/6 Copolymer, Ceramide 3 (NP), Ulmus Davidiana (Japanese Elm) Root Extract, Amaranthus Caudatus (Love-Lies-Bleeding)  Seed Extract, Piper Methysticum Leaf/Root/Stalk Extract, Phellodendron Amurense (Cork Tree) Bark Excerpt, Centella Asiatica Extract, Ficus Carica (Fig) Fruit Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Pueraria Thunbergiana  (Kudzu) Root Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Paeonia Albiflora (Peony) Root Extract, Cnidium Officinale (Marsh Parsley) Root Extract, Eruca Sativa (Arugula) Leaf Extract, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Soluble Collagen, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavander) Oil, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus (Lemongrass)  Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens (Geranium) Flower Oil, Polymethyl Methacrylate, C12-xiv Pareth-12, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Tromethamine, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Inositol, Glyceryl Polymethacrylate, Xanthan Mucilage, Ethylhexylglycerin, Dipropylene Glycol, Disodium EDTA, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Sodium Polyacrylate, Polyglyceryl-10 Oleate, PVM/MA Copolymer, Phenoxyethanol cosDNA assay

This certainly has a gel like texture and it has a floral-lavender odor to information technology ~ it actually is kinda nice!  When I apply this to my skin, it feels like I am applying a facial primer, which might exist due to the dimethicone ingredients in here.

It doesn't go out behind a tacky or sticky residuum and information technology does absorb into my skin afterwards a few minutes.  For the record, I have oily skin and it is very hot and humid right at present where I live, and then I bet this essence would perform improve with dry skin or in drier, libation weather.

This does increase my moisture/oil levels past 36% just it feels more than heavy on my skin, probably due to the 'cones and also the slickness of this essence.  I retrieve this would exist better suited for me in the cooler months as information technology "feels" too much for my pare correct at present.  That said, information technology didn't cause me to breakout or plow my face into a grease pit ~ I but experience that I demand lighter hydrating products to layer. This will be perfect for when the weather gets cooler, and so I will put it aside ~ cause Wintertime Is Coming.   I practice remember if yous currently have dry skin or live in a dry out area, this would be smashing to apply now. Full Size 100 mL RV $39.00 @ Memebox USA

Final Thoughts

I've been pleasantly surprised and happy with the Holika Holika Gudetama series!  I normally do not await much from a novelty line, merely Holika Holika does make some actually nice peel care products, then they merely took it a stride further and made the packaging and then kawaii!   I practise wonder if some of these items are already part of a serial in Holika Holika, but not branded as Gudetama ~ I will have to check that out ~ as this line is a limited edition, and since the ingredients and products are pretty darn good, I would recollect they would go along to make these items, even without the Gud.   Have you lot tried whatever of the Holika Holika Gudetama items? Which ones are of involvement to you?  Delight permit me know in the comments below!
